Vwo- of Havo-leerling? Lees dan snel verder! Op 7 en 8 november hebben we een presentatie van een speciale gast: Danker Kolijn.
Danker heeft een Curaçaose achtergrond en woont en werkt in Canada. Hij heeft interessant werk gedaan in het Caribisch gebied, zoals werk na orkaanbeschadigingen, verjongingsprojecten van koraalriffen, projecten rondom klimaatverandering, veerkracht van de kust en studies over de kwaliteit van het water.
Hij neemt je mee in zijn ervaring met studeren in andere landen, waarbij het leren kennen van andere culturen een grote rol speelt. Hij legt uit waar je tegenaan loopt bij het starten van een carrière en hoe daar de juiste weg in te vinden. Daarnaast vertelt hij over de uitdagingen en mogelijkheden bij het starten van een eigen bedrijf.
De presentatie is in het Nederlands en je wordt ingedeeld op de dag en tijdstip dat je met je school de beurs bezoekt.
Are you a student of Sbo or Vsbo? Please, read along! On November 7th and 8th, during the Curaçao Study- and Career Fair, we host a special presentation given by a special guest; Mr. Danker Kolijn.
Danker has Curaçao-roots, works and lives in Canada and has seen it all.
In this presentation he will tell you more about starting your own business. What are the challenges and opportunities? He will talk about the upside and downside of starting a large or small organization. He will share things that worked for him, and experiences that didn’t work.
Furthermore he will share some of the interesting work he has done in the Caribbean, and the lessons he has learnt about doing business in the Caribbean. The presentation will be educational, constructive and inspiring for those who haven’t decided what study or career they are interested in.
The presentation lasts about 15 minutes and is given in English. We will schedule the timing of the presentation during the time you visit the fair with your school. Have you already registered?
